Three primary school students hurt in Faridpur roof collapse

Three students of a primary school were injured as roof of an abandoned building collapsed on them in Sadarpur upazila of Faridpur.

They were playing under the roof of the building during lunch break in Lokhartek area on Saturday.

The injured are Shahed of class five, Uzzal of class four and another unidentified of Lokhartek Government Primary School.

On information, two units local fire service station rushed in and rescued the students from the collapsed building around 1:30pm, said Senior Station Manager of Faridpur Fire Service Saifuzzaman.

According to UNB, Lokhartek Government Primary School acting headmaster Shahin Khan said he injured were taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Awami League Presidium member Kazi Zafarullah visited the spot, said Charbishnupur Union Parishad Chairman Muazzem Hossain.
