Three of a family die in Gopalganj road crash

Three members of a family have died in a road accident at Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj.

Two others injured in the accident that occurred when a truck collided with a human hauler on Dhaka-Khulna highway at Majhigati area of the upazila on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Selina Begum, 48, headmistress of Jaynagar Govt Primary School, her daughter Eka Moni, 20, assistant teacher at Char Muguria Govt Primary School and Eka Moni's daughter Maisha, 3.

Those who are injured are: Eka Moni's son Bishal and human hauler driver Kamrul, reports UNB.

Selina's nephew Nadim Hossain said the human hauler fell into a roadside ditch being hit by the truck in Majhigati around 2pm, leaving , leaving two passengers dead on the spot.

Three of the injured were taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital where Eka Moni succumbed to her injuries and the other two are undergoing treatment, said officer-in-charge of Kashiani Police Station Azizur Rahman.
