Police rescue four tiger cubs in Jessore

Police rescued four tiger cubs from a Benapole-bound vehicle at Chanchra intersection area of Jessore Sadar upazila on Monday morning.

Sub-inspector Syed Bayezid Hossain, in-charge of Chanchra Police Outpost said, acting on a tip-off, police raided the vehicle and arrested two men suspected of smuggling the tiger cubs.

The arrestees were Rana Miah (28), son of Mannan Bhuiyan of Narsingdi’s Palash upazila and Kamruzzaman Babu (32) of Bogra, according to a local media report.
