Police recovered the decomposed body of an unidentified man from Bhairab River in Jashore on Wednesday.
Locals spotted the floating body of the elderly man at Naoapara Ferryghat in Abhoynagar upazila and informed the matter to police.
Sub-inspector Harun-or-Rashid of Abhoynagar Police Station, said the victim was aged around 60 years, reports UNB.
Police then recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital morgue for autopsy.
