Police exhume body after 36 days of death

Police exhumed a body of a man, who allegedly committed suicide, at Babukhali village in Mohammadpur upazila of Magura on Monday, 36 days after his death.

 

Tariqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Mohammadpur Police Station, said that police recovered hanging body of Anwar Hossain, 40, on July 23, reports UNB.

 

An unnatural death case was filed with the police station in connection with the incident.

 

Later, his wife came to know that her husband was beaten to death by his rivals and hanged the body with a tree.

 

She then filed a case with Judicial Magistrate Court in Mohammadpur.

 

Later, the court ordered police to exhume the body.

 

Police exhumed the body from Basho Sultansi graveyard in the afternoon and sent it to hospital morgue for conducting a fresh autopsy in compliance with the court order.
