Petrol bomb blast injures two in Mymensingh

Two people were injured as a petrol bomb was hurled on a procession at Shahganj Bazar in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh district on Saturday night.

The procession was brought out protesting the recent attack on Achintapur Union Parishad chairman.

According to a news agency report, the injured were identified as Abdul Matin, 24, Rafiqul Islam, 42.

Belal Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Gouripur Police Station, said unidentified miscreants hurled petrol bomb on the protest procession brought out by the supporters of Achintapur UP chairman VP Shaheed followed by a rally in the area around 8:30pm, leaving two people injured.

The injured were taken to Gouripur Health Complex and Matin, one of the injured, was later shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
