CHANDPUR: In the absence of a concrete bridge over a canal beside Taluk derbari, about five hundred families have been suffering much for over three decades at Hossainpur village under Ward No. 7 in South Kochua Union of Kochua Upazila.
At present, there is a bamboo-made bridge over the narrow canal. Children and elderly people, pregnant mothers and patients have been suffering much to go to their destinations using this dilapidated bamboo bridge.

But our appeals went unheeded. So, being disappointed, we have to repair the old bamboo-made bridge off and on by collecting money and donations from the villagers".
When contacted, the same view was echoed by another resident of the village Mizanur Rahman and also the local UP member Shariful Islam Manik.
