Missing girl allegedly elopes from excursion in Chapainawabganj

A female student is suspected to have eloped from a study tour as she went missing at Sonamasjid area in the Chapainawabganj District Sadar on Sunday afternoon.

The missing girl is identified as Stella Badhon Arko, 21, daughter of Roben Barikdar, hailing from Kolaroa upazila under Satkhira district.

Stella is a student of Rajshahi Christian Hospital Nursing Institute, as per a UNB report.

Quoting authority of the institute, police sources said some 180 students of the institute went to the excursion early Sunday.

Sources said Arko went missing after lunch adding nobody could trace the girl as her cellphone was found switched off since then.

Officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station Habibul Islam suggested Stella might have eloped adding that a general dairy was filed in this connection.
