A minor girl drowned in a pond at Karuatoli village in Akhaura upazila in Brahmanbaria on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Zhinuk also known as Sharabanti, 4, daughter of Shapon Rishi of the village.
Locals said the girl went missing in the morning and was found floating in a pond nearby their house, reports UNB.
Later, they rescued her and took to the upazila health complex where the duty doctor declared her dead.
