A fire broke out at a branch of Arab Bangladesh Bank (AB Bank) in GEC area of the port city on Monday morning.
The fire originated from electric short circuit at a store room of the bank around 11:00am, said Md Jasim Uddin, deputy assistant director of Chattogram fire service and civil defence.
However, the fire was brought under control immediately, according to a news agency report.
