A readymade garment factory was gutted by fire today morning.
The incident took place at Borobari in Gazipur city at around 9:00 am.
According to Md Akhteruzzaman, assistant director of Gazipur Fire Service and Civil Defence, the fire originated from an electric short circuit at Unique Washing Plant on Wednesday and spread quickly.
However, two fire-fighting units rushed in and managed to extinguish the blaze at around 9:30 am, UNB reported.
Officials are working to find the amount of damage occurred due to the fire.
