Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members seized six kilograms of gunpowder from bordering Wahedpur area of Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Friday morning.
Lt Col Sajjad Sarwar, commanding officer of BGB-53 battalion, said a patrol team of the paramilitary force conducted a drive in Kalupur field around 11:30am.
Sensing the presence of the BGB members, a teenage boy ran away towards the Indian territory leaving behind a bag, he said, adding that they later found six kg gunpowder inside the bag, reports UNB.
