B’baria road accident claims three lives

Three young men were killed as a bus rammed a CNG-run auto rickshaw on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Malihata area in Sarail upazila in Brahmanbaria on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Nosor Miah, 16, son of Khorshed Miah, Arman, 17, son of Faruk Miah, and auto-rickshaw driver Saidul, 19, son of Lukku Miah, residents of Chor Chartola village in Ashuganj upazila.

Md Hossain Sarker, officer-in-charge of Khatihata highway Police Station, said the Dhaka-bound bus rammed the auto rickshaw around 6:15 am, leaving Nosor Miah dead on the spot and Saidul and Arman critically injured.

Later, they were rushed to a local hospital.

As their condition deteriorated, Arman was admitted to Bhairab Upazila Health Complex and Saidul to Bajitpur Jahirul Islam Medical College Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries, according to a UNB report.
