At least 20 people have sustained injuries as a bus carrying 50 passengers plunged into a ditch skidding off Harinakunda-Jhenaidah road near the Circuit House in Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila on Tuesday.
The losing of the bus control by its driver was the cause behind the accident, said Emdadul Haque, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station, reports a news agency.
Fire service workers rescued the injured, of whom 11 were hospitalised and the rest given primary treatment, he said.
OC Haque added that the passengers travelling in the bus were bound for Khulna court from Harinakunda to attend a police murder case in the morning.
