A police constable was killed and another injured when a truck hit them at Sishutala in Charghat upazila early Thursday.
Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Charghat Police Station, said the accident took place around 2:00am when a truck hit Constable Khademul Islam and Constable Abdul Kuddus after being hit by another truck in the area, leaving Khademul killed on the spot and Kuddus injured.
Kuddus is now undergoing treatment at a local hospital, according to a news agency report.
