Cold wave sweeps over northern districts

The shivering cold wave has been sweeping over the northern districts for a few days hampering normalcy in life and causing immense sufferings to the common people., the Meteorological Department said on Thursday.

The cold wave may continue and spread over adjacent areas, according to its forecast.

Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during mid-night till morning.

Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.

The lowest temperature of Wednesday was recorded 6.5 degree Celsius at Chuadanga and the highest temperature of Wednesday was recorded 26.2 degree Celsius at Hatia and Bhola.

Apart from these, seasonal low lies over South Bay. Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining area.
