China has said it is willing to work together with Bangladesh to deepen the cooperation of mutual benefits and continuously push the 'Strategic Partnership' to new heights.
"I attach high importance to the development of China-Bangladesh relations," Chinese President Xi Jinping said in a message to President Abdul Hamid on Monday, marking the Independence Day of Bangladesh.
He said he will work together to strengthen the alignment of development strategies of the two countries, jointly carry out the Belt and Road initiative, and continuously inject new vigour into the 'Strategic Partnership' of cooperation between China and Bangladesh.
In recent years, he said, the cooperation between China and Bangladesh in various fields, with the relations on a god momentum, has been continuously deepening which is in line with the fundamental interests of the two countries and peoples.
On the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the independence of Bangladesh, the Chinese President, on behalf of the Chinese government and people and on his own name, extended his warm congratulations and best wishes to the President and friendly people of Bangladesh.
"May Bangladesh enjoy prosperity and its people enjoy happiness," said President Jinping.
In separate message to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang said, "In recent years, the cooperation between China and Bangladesh in various fields has been enjoying a good momentum."
He said Chinese side attaches great importance to China-Bangladesh relationship, and is willing to work together with Bangladeshi side to deepen the cooperation of mutual benefits, and continuously push 'Strategic Partnership' of cooperation to new heights.
"May Bangladesh enjoy prosperity and its people enjoy happiness," said the Chinese PM.
In another message to Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China attaches great importance to bilateral relationship with Bangladesh.
"I am willing to work together with you to make unremitting efforts on the development of Strategic Partnership of cooperation between China and Bangladesh," Wang Yi said.
