The Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) on Saturday cancelled Certification Marks (CM) licences of 17 products of 17 brands for selling substandard products in the markets.
The BSTI also issued show cause notice to this end.
The BSTI has also instructed the producers, suppliers, wholesaler and retailers to refrain from sale and distribution, preservation and advertisement of these products.
It also asked the authorities concerned to withdraw these products from the market and requested consumers to refrain from buying them.
