Bogura AL President Momtaz Uddin dies

Awami league (AL) Central Working Committee Member and Bogura District AL President Alhaj Md Momtaz Uddin died of heart attack at the age of 78 at a hospital in Bogura in the early hours of Sunday.

Momtaz, also a valiant freedom fighter and former director of the FBCCI, left behind his wife, two sons, two daughters as well as a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death, BSS reports citing family sources.

His first namaz-e-janaza was held on Altafunnesa playground in the district town and second Namaz-e-Janaza was held on Manikchak High School premises in Shakharia Union of the district.

He was also given guard of honour before being buried at his family graveyard.
