A fire broke out in a godown of Bangladesh Inland Transport Authority (BIWTA) in Khanpur area in Narayanganj on Friday.
The fire originated from the southern part of the rented godown at about 1:00pm, said Joynal Abedin, officer-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station.
On information, eight firefighting units from Hajiganj, Mondolpara, and Adamzee fire stations went to the spot.
The firemen were still trying to douse the blaze when news agency UNB filed the report at around 2:30pm.
