Birdem General Hospital has closed its Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after a patient there tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday.
At the same time, around 40 physicians, nurses and staffers have been asked to be in quarantine at home, according to reports that quoted Dr Nazimul Rahman, joint director at the hospital, to confirm the matter.
The patient has been referred to Kurmitola General Hospital, he said.
