BGB seizes 2 tonnes Indian cherry at Benapole

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members seized two tonnes of Indian cherry worth about Tk 6 lakh from Sadipur border area in Benapole of Jessore on Monday.
Lt Col Ariful Haque, commanding officer of BGB-49, said acting on a tip-off a team of BGB members led by Beanpole check post camp commander Abdul Wahab conducted a raid in the border area and seized the huge quantities of cherry, reports UNB.
However, no one was arrested in this connection. Later, the seized cherry was deposited to Benapole customs office.
