Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel arrested an alleged hundi trader along with Tk 0.30 million at Putkhali border point in Benapole area of Jessore district on Thursday.
The arrestee was identified as Akash Rahman, 18, son of Arsaf Ali, a resident of Putkhali village, reports UNB.
Tipped off that a hundi trader was carrying huge illegal money from Putkhali to Benapole, BGB members intercepted him there and seized Tk 0.30 million from his possession, said Lt Col Tariqul Hakim, the commanding officer of BGB-21 battalion.
A case was filed in this connection.
