BD reports four more COVID-19 deaths, 503 new cases

Four more people died of deadly COVID-19 in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours as of Friday noon, bringing the total count in the country to 131.

Besides, the tally of positive tests has surged by 503 to 4,689, according to data released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Additional Director General (Admin) of the Directorate General of Health Services Dr Nasima Sultana came up with the disclosure at a daily health bulletin this afternoon.

Prof Nasima said, in the last 24 hours, 3,686 samples of people were tested across the country.

Also, four more patients have recovered from the disease during the period under review, taking the total number of recoveries to 112.

Meanwhile, the global death toll from coronavirus has reached 191,176 as of Friday noon.

It has so far infected 2,733,503 people around the world, according to Worldometer - a website that provides real-time updates.

Of them, 1,791,051 are currently being treated and 58,713 of them are in serious or critical condition.

So far, 751,276 people have recovered.
