The passport holders of Bangladesh can avail visa-free access to 38 countries of the world, according to the latest report of Henley and Partner Passport Index.
The index for 2018, unveiled today, ranks Bangladeshi passport as the 96th strongest passport among the passports of 104 countries.
The index is based on the number of countries passport holders can enter without a visa or visa on arrival.
The latest index ranks the German passport as the world’s most powerful as it provides visa-free entry to 177 countries.
In South Asia, passport of Bhutan is the strongest (83rd) as it provides visa-free access to 52 countries followed by India (86th) which provides visa-free access to 49 countries and Sri Lanka (93rd) allowing access to 41 countries. Bangladesh stands fourth in South Asia in this regard.
Passport holders of Nepal get visa-free access to 36 countries, while for Pakistani passport holders it is 30 countries and for Afghanistan it is only 24 countries.
