Senate Democrat Josh Uddin of Georgia (GA) District 48 will be uncontested during the May GA Senate Primary for November Election 2022, says a press statement issued on Monday.
Josh Uddin was born in Bangladesh and immigrated to the United States in the late 80s.
He is a graduate of Georgia State University. Josh Uddin is married to Farzana Uddin.
The couple has been living in the Gwinnett/North Fulton area since 1987 where they have raised their two daughters.
His election promises will include improving state healthcare, state traffic system, minimum wages, and immigration policies.
Josh states, “I will join the Democrats at the Capitol in their fight for quality healthcare for all Georgians, for an end to gridlock in our community, and for a fully-funded and modern education system that benefits all of our children regardless of zip code.”
Josh served as the Chairperson of the Federation of Bangladeshi American Associations in North America and the Executive Secretary of APAC.
He is involved with the North Gwinnett Rotary Club and the president of the Bangladeshi American Association of Georgia.
Service has always been a part of him, and he views this opportunity to broaden his service arena further.
