State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak handed over the ASOCIO ICT Education Award to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the cabinet meeting on Monday.
The premier was delighted having received the honour. She congratulated all for taking ahead the country's ICT sector worldwide.
Senior secretary of ICT Division N M Zeaul Alam PAA also attended at the award giving ceremony.
Earlier, prime minister's ICT Affairs Adviser Mr Sajeeb Wazed expressed satisfaction and congratulated everyone for this remarkable achievement at a meeting on Jan 14 at the conference room of Agargaon's ICT Tower.
The award was given at the '2019 ASOCIO-PIKOM DIGITAL SUMMIT' held on November 12 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia by the 'Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO)'.
This international honorary award has been given in the ICT Education category to Startup Bangladesh-iDEA for its special contribution in the ICT Sector.
“Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA) project” of ICT Division started its journey in 2016 to make a startup culture in the ICT sector bearing its "Startup Bangladesh" banner.
