Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor on Monday urged all to build awareness about the copyright act.
He made the call while attending a seminar, marking the World Book and Copyright Day at National Museum. The minister said, "Those who are involved in creative works are all stakeholders to copyright act."
Asaduzzaman Noor asked people not to remain indifferent in the event of someone violating one's copyright rather all should work for preserving their respective rights on talents and creative works.
To introduce a useful copyright act, a draft of Copyright Act-2018 was put on display on the ministry website, said Noor adding that people can give their opinion on it.
Registrar of copyright office Zafar Raja Chowdhury presided over the programme where additional secretary of the ministry Md Mashiur Rahman attended as special guest, reports UNB.
