Another body washed ashore on Cox’s Bazar sea beach on Saturday, one day after two bodies were recovered similarly.
Lifeguards recovered the body at around 12:15 pm Saturday from Nazirartek Point on the beach, reports UNB.
The identity of the deceased could not be confirmed till filing this report Saturday night.
Cox's Bazar District Administration Executive Magistrate (Tourism Cell) Syed Murad Islam confirmed the matter.
However, he could not confirm whether the deceased was a local or a tourist.
Mahbub Alam, the supervisor of the beach workers, said a young man was rescued from the Nazirartek Point area of the beach after 11:30 am on Saturday.
Two bodies were recovered from Seagull Point of Cox's Bazar sea beach on Friday.
Earlier on Sep 8, Taufique Mokbul (22), a resident of Dhaka's Adabor area and a student of BRAC University drowned around the same Seagull Point, which corresponds to the location of the eponymous hotel on the beachfront.
