'Amar Foods' started the essential food package distribution campaign among people in their production areas amid the coronavirus outbreak in collaboration with Esho Sobai. They will distribute almost 8,000 food packages door to door to the extreme poor and daily wage earners who have been without work since the government imposed a country-wide "general leave" last Wednesday, said a press release.
The sudden restriction on movement due to lockdown is taking a toll on mass people. Shutdown has made it difficult for them with no income and thus, no food.
Meanwhile, when several companies are firing their employees or slashing their salary, Watermark Group, the mother company of Amar Foods launched monthly ration for all its employees during this critical period. Also, it is working to building awareness on frequent hand-washing, maintaining physical distance in public places.
