Attorney General (AG) Mahbubey Alam received a death threat on Thursday afternoon, says a report on UNB.
The threat was issued in a letter sent to his office by an anonymous sender in the afternoon.
In the letter, the sender asked the state's chief law officer to get ready for going to hell, saying time has come for it.
Personal Secretary to the AG Kabir Ahmed filed a general diary with Shahbagh Police Station over the matter around 9 pm, said deputy commissioner (Ramna) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Maruf Hossain Sarder.
About the death threat, Mahbubey Alam said he is not afraid at all.
"Threats will come and those will have to be faced with courage," he said.
Earlier, the AG received the death threat thrice -- on October 22, 2013, May 31 and August 9 in 2016.
