Chairman of Anti-corruption commission (ACC) Iqbal Mahmud on Tuesday said that ACC has been working neutrally to counter corruption from root level.

He said this while executive director of Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) Francis Sham and research project manager Joshua Hai met with him.

The ACC boss said "The intensity of corruption does not reduce rapidly in the world, but in some cases its intensity is increasing. Therefore, to prevent corruption, the commission's officials need to increase their capacity."

Stressing on the new technology and tools, he urged the ACC to assist the ACC in the training of ACC officials through skilled and professional trainers of the organisation, reports UNB.

During the meeting, ICAC executive director Francis Sham identified the field of mutual cooperation and expressed his intention to work together with the ACC to prevent corruption in various fields including development of information, information exchange and training.
