The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Thursday sent a report to cabinet division with a set of 23 suggestions to curb corruption in the income-tax department.
A three-member institutional team of the commission led by its director Meer Joynul Abedin Shebly prepared the report after conducting through inquiry into allegations of corruption and irregularities in the income-tax department, sources with the ACC said.
After a long inquiry, the team has found 13 sources of corruption which would require to be stopped to ensure transparency and accountability of the department, reports BSS.
The report, sent by the commission, was signed by its acting secretary Sarwar Mahmud.
