A Thousand Shades by Teresa, the first solo art exhibition of Farhana Islam Teresa was inaugurated on Friday (November 29).
Teresa has been inundated by the shades of nature that reflects and resonates with the inner mind and surrounding life. The exhibition was opened on Friday at 6 pm by chief guest Michael Foley, CEO of Grameenphone, guest of honor Nazia Andaleeb Preema, visual artist and founder of Bangladesh Creative Forum, special guest Yasir Azman, deputy CEO and CMO of Grameenphone and renowned artist Monirul Islam at Dhaka Gallery, Banani.
The exhibition is open for all till December 03 from 3 pm to 8 pm. Catalytic Interactive was the design partner of the event.
Farhana Islam Teresa likes to spread the joy of life through her colorful paintings and fearless expressions. Art is in her family blood lines as Farhana is granddaughter of Potua Quamrul Hassan. Her grandmother Sakina Rahman was also chief of the Dolls Department at BISCIC (Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation). Farhana currently works in Grameenphone as Head of Innovation leading a team of creative modern-day innovators.
Nazia Andaleeb Preema has curated the exhibition. She said, “I wish her first solo exhibition a great success. And I hope she continues with her passion and venture more and more into the illusional world of creativity. Art is a process and I am sure she will make us proud to be in her artistic journey to inspire us”. Michael Foley, CEO of Grameenphone stated that he is glad to celebrate this occasion that upholds the culture and pride of Bangladesh. Yasir Azman, deputy CEO and CMO of Grameenphone mentioned that he is very proud of the multiple talents of Farhana that she works in digital and also pursues such great passion for Art.
Teresa has done experiments on multiple subjects and colours which are enchanting to viewers of Bangladesh and beyond. Farhana’s joyful presence and free spirit can be felt through her strokes and splashes of paint in her work.
