A BNP-Jamaat leader who had gone into hiding in Sweden after the January 5 general elections, is behind the cases of disappearances in Bangladesh, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said.
“His name is Nahid. He along with other leaders and activists of BNP-Jamaat had carried out subversive activities before and after the January 5 general elections.
He has been plotting the disappearances from Sweden,” the Road Transport and Bridges Minister Quader said on Sunday.
He made the remarks at a photo exhibition which he inaugurated as the chief guest at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Awami League (AL) Publicity and Publications Sub-Committee organised the programme to exhibit photos of sabotage carried out before and after the January 5 elections.
