Forty-four Bangladeshis, who were stuck in West Bengal, returned home through Benapole on Monday under special arrangement.

They had been stranded in Kolkata since March 26 after the suspension of passenger crossing between the two countries.

“They will be quarantined at a community centre of Benapole municipality,” he said.

Meanwhile, residents of Benapole municipal area demonstrated after inauguration of the institutional quarantine at the community centre today by the district administration.
