The preliminary test of 38th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) will be held on December 29.
A Bangladesh Public Service Commission Chairman Mohammad Sadiq confirmed about the date on Sunday.
The government published the circular to appoint 2,024 candidates in different cadres through the 38th BCS on June 20. The candidates applied for the test from July 10 to August 10.
The BPSC said that 3,46,532 candidates have applied to take part in 38th BCS examinations.
Two examiners will check the answer sheets this time, the PSC chairman earlier said.
According some national media, an answer sheet would be re-evaluated if the difference between the marks given by the two examiners exceeded 20, he added.
The examinations will also be held under newly formed Mymensingh Division. The candidates will be able to choose between Bangla and English as the language for the test.
