The final results of 36th examinations to enter the Bangladesh Civil Service was published on Tuesday.
Recommendations for various cadre positions were made for 2,323 successful candidates, Public Service Commission Chairman Mohammad Sadiq said, reports bdnews24.com.
He said 5,631 passed the written and oral stages of the exam, but of them 2,323 were selected for recommendations because of limited vacancy in posts.
The rest 3,308 will have to wait before they are given first or second grade non-cadre positions, he said.
The commission has written to every ministry, asking them to provide jobs to as many of these candidates as possible, added the BPSC chairman.
