Separate courts in Dhaka on Monday granted bail to 32 students including quota reform activist Rashed Khan, who were arrested during the protests demanding quota reform and safe roads.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sorafuzzaman Ansari granted bail of 20 students including Rashed Khan, joint convener of Bangladesh General Students' Rights Protection Council, reports UNB.
Rashed was arrested from Bhasantek area of the city on July 1, in a case filed over vandalising the house of Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman on April 8.
Meanwhile, 12 other students including four of private universities, who were detained from safe road movement, were also granted bail from separate courts over attacking police during the movement.
A number of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrates granted bail to them after hearing their separate bail petitions.
Earlier on Sunday separate courts here granted bail to 40 private university students, accused in separate cases filed over vandalism and attacks on police, during the student movement demanding safe roads.
Many private universities were arrested in separate cases filed with Badda and Bhatara police stations on the ninth day of the road safety movement on August 6.
Later, they were denied bail several times.
Protests flared up across Bangladesh on July 29 when two college students were crushed under the wheels of a bus in Dhaka city's Kurmitola area.
