29 more dengue patients hospitalised in 24hrs

Twenty-nine more dengue patients were hospitalised in 24 hours till Monday morning, health authorities said.

The death toll from dengue fever remained unchanged at 105 as no new death was reported during the period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

It said 95 people died in Dhaka division alone, four in Mymensingh, two each in Chattogram, and Khulna and one each in Rajshahi and Barishal divisions, reports UNB.

Among the new patients, four are undergoing treatment at hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 25 cases have been reported from outside the division.

Some 62 patients who were diagnosed with dengue are receiving treatment in the country as of Monday.

Of them, 30 are receiving treatment at different hospitals in the capital while the remaining 32 were listed outside Dhaka.

This year, some 44 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with Dengue so far and 18 dengue patients have left hospitals after recovery, said the DGHS.
