More than 20 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants were arrested in India’s western state of Goa, according to tribuneindia.com.
Pramod Sawant, the chief minister of the Indian state, on Sunday said these people will be deported to Bangladesh.
“The police verified the antecedents of tenants in remote villages. It was found they were engaged in the scrap yard business. They don’t have an Indian address,” he added.
He also said the home ministry of India had been informed about the issue.
The chief minister said more search operations will be carried out in other remote villages
