The 17th session of the 10th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) will begin at 5pm tomorrow (Sunday). President Abdul Hamid summoned the session exercising the power bestowed upon him according to clause (1) of the article 72 of the constitution, reports BSS.
Parliament secretariat sources said the duration and proceedings of the 17th session will be finalised at a meeting of the business advisory committee of the parliament with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair tomorrow afternoon.
With passing seven bills out of the total 15, the budget session of the 10th Jatiya Sangsad (parliament) was prorogued on July 13 as Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury read out the prorogation order of the President after 24 sittings of the 16th session that began on June 1, 2017.
A total of 190 notices under Rule 71 of the Rules of the Procedure were received, and, of them, 12 notices were accepted.
Movers of 57 notices got the opportunity to speak for two minutes each under Rule 71 (a) of the Rules of Procedure.
A total of 169 questions were received for the Prime Minister's question-answer time and she responded to 70 including the supplementary ones.
A total of 2,809 questions were received for ministers and state ministers question-answer session and they responded to 1,938 including the supplementary ones.
