Water levels in 15 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 75 stations recorded falls.
Among the 94 monitored water level stations, three are steady, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Tuesday. All the major rivers are flowing below their respective danger level, reports BSS.
All the major rivers except the Upper Meghna basin are in falling trend which may continue in next 72 hours.
Rivers of the Upper Meghna basin may remain steady in next 24 hours.
A total of 55 mm rainfall was recorded at Zakiganj, 50 mm at Sylhet, 50 mm Sunamganj and 46 mm at Sheola during 24 hours ending at 9:00am of on Tuesday.
