At least 14 women were tortured to death and one committed suicide for dowry alone in January -February across the country, according to a local independent rights body.
The Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) report noted a total of 20 women were victims of dowry in the country in January and February of 2019.
Out of those 20, five were physically tortured, the ASK data showed.
Eight cases were filed in connection with the incidents, the data also revealed.
85 women were tortured to death, 80 physically tormented and 108 cases were lodged in connection to such incidents in 2018 across the country, it added.
