At least 13 people were injured when a passenger-carrying human hauler hit a roadside wrecker in the capital’s Jatrabari area on Friday.
Fire Service and Civil Defence control room's duty officer Mizanur Rahman said, a passenger-carrying human hauler was heading to Jatrabari from Demra of Sarulia around 4:15am on Friday. The mini-vehicle hit the parked wrecker after losing control.
The accident left 13 passengers of the human hauler injured, according to a fire service source.
Being informed, four rescue teams of the fire service rushed to the spot and sent six injured people to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment, Rahman said, adding that the local people rescued the rest seven and sent them to the same hospital soon after.
