The Japanese government has granted Tk 5.8 million to construct a healthcare centre at Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar.
Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) will provide the fund to implement the project, said a press release of Japan embassy in Dhaka.
BDRCS in association with Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) has been providing medical services to Rohingya people in Cox’s Bazar since October 2017.
After completion of the healthcare centre, BDRCS will be able to serve at least 32,200 patients annually, it added.
