One having dry or itchy scalp, brittle hair, and textured hair should wash less frequently. Those having acne on the scalp or scaly scalp and oily scalp should wash more often.
Using harsh products
Be gentle with your hair. Use fragrance-free products that are pH balanced. Use products with minimum ingredients. Choose the products that will clean the dirt debris from your hair and not irritate your scalp.
Look for soothing ingredients for your scalp and hair. Use products with plant-based surfactants, aloe, niacinamide, panthenol, glycerin, pH balanced, and fragrance-free.
Conditioner can be helpful for those who have damaged, frizzy, and curly hair. Conditioners should include hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, panthenol, and fragrance-free. These ingredients will not clog your pores or damage your hair; they will soothe your hair.
Treating the wrong condition
Not every shampoo is suitable for every hair problem. One dealing with dandruff must use an anti-dandruff shampoo, as you need active ingredients that treat dandruff.
Yeast causes dandruff on the scalp. That yeast causes inflammation, and inflammation leads to scaling and flaking.
To cure dandruff, you need ketoconazole, salicylic acid, selenium sulfide, and zinc pyrithione.
Hair loss causes for many reasons such as heredity, hormonal changes, medical conditions, using the wrong hair products, or a normal part of ageing. So we need to know the proper reason before dealing with hair loss treatment.
Tight Hairstyles
People who wear tight hairstyles like ponytails or braids pull the hair up from the shaft, and this progressive pulling and traction leads to scarring alopecia or hair loss. That is permanent and irreversible.
Using too much heat on the hair
Using a hair dryer and straightener too often can damage your hair because of the heat. You can keep the heat settings low.
If you need more time to dry or straighten your hair, it will be more gentle for your hair. Use a heat protectant on your hair before using a hair straightener or curler.
While drying your hair, do a rough dry and then go for the blow-dry. For your hair, natural air-dry is beneficial. So only use these products when you need to.
