The 12th Asian Film Awards were announced in China's Macao Special Administrative Region on Saturday night, with Chinese movie "Youth" winning the Best Film.
Chinese actress Sylvia Chang was awarded Best Actress for her role in "Love Education," and Chinese actor Louis Koo was awarded Best Actor for his role in "Paradox."
Japanese director Ishii Yuya won Best Director for his film "The Tokyo Night Sky Is Always the Densest Shade of Blue." Chinese director Dong Yue won Best New Director for "The looming Storm."
Chinese film "Legend of the Demon Cat" won four awards, including Best Supporting Actress (actress Zhang Yuqi), Best Costume Design, Best Production Design and Best Visual Effect.
South Korean actor Yang Ik-june was awarded with Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Wilderness."
Indian play writers Mayank Tewari and Amit V Masurkar were awarded with Best Screenplay for their film "Newton." Japanese musician Hisaishi Joe was awarded with Best Original Music, reports Xinhua from Macao.
Meanwhile, Sylvia Chang was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. South Korean actress Lim Yoon-a was awarded Next Generation Award, and Chinese film "Wolf Warrior 2" won the 2017 Top-Grossing Asian Film Award.
