‘Fame Game,’ an Indian thriller released on Netflix, is trending on top. It has also gained a positive response from Bangladeshi fans.
Starting from the legendary Madhuri Dixit to Karan Johar, the series with a healthy mix of mystery and adrenaline happens to be one of the finest productions to come out of Netflix India in the past few years.
The story revolves around an extremely successful actress, Anamika Anand–a Bollywood star, who leads a lavish life like any other Bollywood actress until she goes missing.
The character is played by Madhuri Dixit who took this role after a long hiatus from acting, although her adroitness in the role would make one seem that she had never had a break in the first place.
Her disappearance led to one event after another. Later, it was revealed that she had been pretty unhappy in her personal life, with a failed and abusive marriage and a lot of other familial issues.
It makes the viewers have a sneak peek at the ostensibly picture-perfect life of Bollywood stars, which do not reveal the true picture most of the time.
The viewers will keep wondering throughout the show about the abductor of Anamika. But they would get an unexpected twist at the end.
The cliffhangers, the growing suspense and perfections in cinematography will keep viewers' attention till the end.
The series has an uncanny resemblance with the life of late actress Sri Devi, as the personal struggles of Anamika highlighted in the show are very much similar to those of her. Although knowing Karan Johar, it doesn’t seem unlikely that the drama might be a loose biopic of late Sri Devi's life.
The drama could be a good watch for people who already have good exposure to famous Netflix Indian Dramas of the recent past such as Sacred Games and Ye Kale Kale Aankhen.
Vintage Bollywood lovers will find one of the most remarkable actresses of the classic Bollywood era in an uncharacteristic role.
