Curtain falls on Dhaka International Folk Fest

The three-day Dhaka International Folk Fest (DIFF) ended on Saturday night with music lovers rejoicing at the soothing tune of local and international folk singers.

Held at the Bangladesh Army Stadium, the event drew highest number of visitors on the final day.

Starting with the performance of Malek Kawal, an eminent Qawali singer of the country, the last day of DIFF had Russian folk band Sattuma, singer Chandana Majumder and Pakistani folk band Junoon.

Some 200 artistes from five countries delivered their performances throughout the three-day long event, UNB reported.  

Every session remained jam-packed till the end at midnight.

Arranged by Sun Foundation, the co-hosts of DIFF 2019 include Meril, Dhaka Bank Limited and Radhuni.
